Thank you for voicing the same rage I'm feeling. That we're all feeling. It's mind-blowing that we've come to this - as a country, as a people, as human beings.

Republicans don't think women are sentient human beings, just ambulatory incubators, domestic servants, and fuktoys. I know this because Republicans tell us this ALL THE TIME, and I believe them when they tell us who they really are.

Thank you, Dr. Lachmann. I feel your words with every fiber of my being. And one of the biggest shocks to me is that friends of 20 years, who I thought were caring and kind...I now have to reevaluate those relationships and admit that I made too many excuses for things I didn't like. You're right...there is no excuse now...they have no conscience. Everything was a pose in order to get by with whomever they were with at the time...nothing was substantive. Now they can wear their hate proudly, and it sickens me to my core for not having realized it sooner!

After being raped while in the military, my anger tends towards the bloody side. I feel that if they feel so fucking cavalier towards rape, let them receive that kind of attention. If it’s nothing, then prove it. If someone commits suicide after a rape, then the rapist should be charged with murder. If there is a pregnancy, then the woman has evidence of the assault. Rapist should be castrated then lobotomized.

Sorry if you feel offended, I’ve been living with this for 43 years.

No I don’t. I have done CBT through the VA and that has helped a lot, and surprisingly I added saffron in with my antidepressant and anti anxiety medication and that combo has helped a lot, just every now and then I hear something that gets me going. I will look her up though, thank you.

Did you read the piece? She’s also been quite active on Twitter for years, talks about her story there, has empowered countless military service women and men when they see they’re not alone. And - I’m so sorry that happened. I don’t think I said that before.

She’s fellow military and a fellow rape survivor. She has shared her story publicly. The more one feels heard, understood, and supported, the less of a burden they carry.

I am truly sorry, as an eight-year Navy veteran, to hear that you were raped while in the military.

There are vast numbers of service members who regard women as property, to the point that they made bumper stickers to that effect at the ghastly Tailhook scandal. I was in the Navy when that happened, and our base had a three-day stand down to train on preventing such incidents.

I was in an AFRTS detachment, and we sat in the office, as Senior Chief Journalist Eric Erickson laid down the law. After he did, "Any questions or comments?"

I raised my hand. JOCS pointed at me.

"Yeah, Senior Chief, I think that if you can't treat people decently, particularly co-workers, there's something bloody wrong with you. If you're a Sailor on this base, you can go out in town, and find plenty of young women who are delighted to meet, romance, and marry an American Sailor, in the time-honored manner. We're all adults, aren't we?"

Turned out we weren't...in 1995, two Marines in Okinawa, unable to find women for the evening, rented a car, kidnapped a 13-year-old girl, duct-taped her, and took turns raping her. I was in New Zealand by then, and I couldn't understand this.

Worse, the Commander-in-Chief Pacific, Admiral Macke -- I wrote about this here on Substack -- told American reporters over bagels and coffee that for the price of the rented car, they could have hired a hooker for the evening. Well, that only infuriated his Japanese hosts even more. Macke was told to retire early, which he did, after issuing another apology. He went straight to work in the Military-Industrial Complex, but lost two stars, retiring as a rear admiral, not a full admiral.

I asked one of my Chief Petty Officers how in the bowels of Christ a four-star admiral in Hawaii could know the price of a prostitute on Okinawa.

The Chief said: "He asked one of his ensigns, who asked a very salty Chief, who gave the price, and the ensign told the admiral."

Oh.

These are the kind of jerks who learn their romantic skills from watching pornographic videos where the plotline is the rape victim falls in love with her rapist.

There used to be a whole series of novels with that theme called "bodice rippers." Usually set in the antebellum South. Dashing, handsome rich man gets drunk, rapes stunning woman with huge you-know-whatties....and then they get married. Yeah, right.

First off, using obscenities is verbal pollution. It is the mark of an uneducated man who has no argument.

Men watch ultra-violent pornographic rape fantasy videos and while most just stand there and grab themselves, some of them do run out and commit horrific misdeeds.

Read John Douglas’s books about serial killers. He points to their heavy use of pornography. More frightening and upsetting…he points to them torturing animals and smaller children when they are kids.

Note the authoress used obscenity numerous times in her post. So if we go by your standard she has no argument and this article is just a woman having a temper tantrum. Or does that only apply to men?

Personal abuse is not much of an argument, either.

You sound like a perpetually angry man, and one whose only relationship with women IS from watching "Sorority Row Vixens." From reading your posts, I don't think you're much of a social success in real life.

There is a big difference between "art" and "debate," and you seem completely unaware of that difference. I'm not sure how far you got in school, but it doesn't look like you did very well.

As I say, I'm not a big fan of the use of obscenities, but in your case, I'll make an exception:

Fuck off and die.

That's all I've got, and all you're worth.
